눈으로 먹고 눈물로 배설되는 복숭아 빙수

재료
몽고반점 없이 잘 익은 제철 엉덩이복숭아 1개
10년 전 루르드 성지에서 떠온 기적의 성수 500cc
인사동 기념품가게에서 파는 민속부채 1세트
이러지도 저러지도 못하는 여자
프로포폴 50mg
파란색 1큰술, 빨간색 23큰술, 노란색 42큰술
 
조리법
죄스러운 마음으로 솜털 보송한 복숭아를 루르드 성수에 깨끗하게 닦아 놓는다. 껍질은 끓는 물에 20초간 담궜다가 빼내어 살살 벗긴다.(tip. 금속에 의한 재료의 영양 파괴를 최소화하기 위해 껍질 벗길 때 복숭아 표면에 칼집을 내기보다는 과육이 포실하게 오른 부분을 꼬집어주는 것이 효과적이다.) 껍질을 제거한 복숭아를 납작납작하게 저민다. 지난 보름달이 뜨던 날 새벽부터 부채질을 시작해서 꽁꽁 얼려 놓은 얼음을 여자의 이빨을 이용해 눈꽃처럼 곱게 간다. 저민 과육을 얼음 위에 하트모양으로 올려놓는다. 시럽으로 프로포폴을 골고루 뿌려준다. 평소 강한 맛을 즐기는 사람은 기호에 따라 25mg 정도 더 넣어도 좋다. 완성된 빙수를 파란색, 빨간색, 노란색을 잘 배합해 만든 모니터에 예쁘게 담아낸다.

Casco is delighted to invite you to the opening of 'Grammar of the World - Based on Operational Play', a two week presentation by the artist Hwayeon Nam, on Saturday 5 September from 17.00 to 20.00 hrs. 

Like many other projects of Casco, the exhibition and the new works on view are the outcome of an evolutionary and social process. Based on the group performances 'Operational Play' which took place in public areas of both Seoul and Utrecht last May in the context of our previous project 'The Antagonistic Link', Hwayeon Nam undertook further inquiries into the issues which the performances addressed: public accountability vis-a-vis the possibility of participation.
The performance was in turn based on the convention of naming military operations since World War II, like "El Dorado Canyon", "Summer Rains" or "Blue Tiger".

광주비엔날레재단 홍보사업부입니다.
제112차 이사회 결과 보내드립니다.

2010광주비엔날레 주제는 현대사회에서 끊임없이 생산, 공유되고 있는 이미지의 삶과 생명력을 다루는 ‘이미지의 일생(가제_The Life of Images)’이 될 전망이다.
내년 제8회 2010광주비엔날레 마시밀리아노 지오니 예술총감독은 27일 오후 광주비엔날레 재단 회의실에서 열린 제112차 이사회에 참석, 내년 비엔날레의 전시 기본 구상을 밝혔다.
지오니 감독은 “현대 사회에 있어서 이미지는 끊임없이 만들어지고, 소유되고, 소비되고, 공유.교환되는 등 다양한 형태로 보여지고 있다”면서 “내년 제8회 광주비엔날레는 이미지에 관한 작가들의 다양한 생각들을 다양한 장르의 현대미술을 통해 보여주고자 한다”고 밝혔다.
이어 지난 20년동안 이미지는 ‘이미지의 DNA가 바뀌었다’고 해도 과언이 아닐 정도로 기술적으로 다양한 변화를 맞았을 뿐만 아니라 전세계의 변화를 담고 있다”면서 “이같은 다양한 의미의 이미지를 통해 현대에 있어서 이미지는 무엇인가, 전세계의 현상이 이미지를 통해 어떻게 나타나고 있는지를 보여줄 것”이라고 말했다.
지오니 감독은 “글이 아닌 이미지로 이야기를 전달할 수 있다는 것을 광주비엔날레를 통해 보여주고 싶다”며 “이미지’라는 용어가 사진에 국한되는 것 아니냐는 지적도 나올 수 있겠지만 그림과 회화, 영화 등 다양한 매체와 기법의 결합을 광주비엔날레를 통해 볼 수 있을 것”이라고 강조했다.
이와 관련, 그는 이사회 직후 열린 언론과의 인터뷰에서 오는 9~10월께 주제어와 전시기본 구상을 확정, 발표하겠다고 말했다.
전시 방법과 관련, “주제나 섹션에 따라 나뉘는 일반적인 전시형식을 취하지는 않겠지만 특정 주제에 대한 집중 등을 통해 관람객들에게 다양한 경험을 제공할 생각”이라고 말했다.
한편 이날 이사회에서는 총 58억원의 2009광주디자인비엔날레 제2회 추가경정예산안을 비롯, 임기가 만료된 강상률 감사(동명회계법인 대표)에 대한 임원 선출안 등을 원안대로 통과시켰다.
또 은병수 2009 광주디자인비엔날레 디자인총감독이 참석, 올해 디자인비엔날레 추진상황을 보고했다.

김창일 회장은 지난 1978년부터 천안 아라리오 종합 버스터미널을 기반으로 사업을 확장하여 현재는 터미널, 백화점, 영화관, 음식점, 갤러리를 소유한 아라리오 산업을 이루어 내었다. 그는 사업을 시작했을 당시부터 문화의 힘을 인식하고 있었으며, 자신이 처음으로 번 돈을 들고 인사동에 가서 작품을 샀을 만큼미술에 대한 남다른 애정을 가지고 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 그는 해외 유명 조각품들이 가득 들어선 푸른 조각광장과 어우러진 아름다운 아라리오 산업을 일구어 내었으며, Ci Kim이라는 이름으로 세계적인 컬렉터로써 30년째 활발히 활동하고 있다. 이러한 그의 컬렉션은 국내보다 해외에서 더 먼저 주목을 받아 지난 2003년 영국 유력 일간지인 인디펜던트(The Independent)에서는 그를 유명컬렉터 사치(Saatchi)와 비견하기도 하였으며, 2005년과 2006년 연이어 독일 잡지모노폴(Monopol)에서 뽑은 100인의 컬렉터 중 아시아인으로써는 유일하게 그가 선정되기도 하였다. 이제 사업에서 손을 뗀 그는 Ci Kim이라는 예명으로 본격적인 작가로서의 길을 걸으며 그의 끊임없는 열정과 꿈을 담은 작품 활동을 하고 있다. 또한 2005년 12월 10일 아라리오 베이징을 오픈한 데 이어 올해 4월에는 아라리오 서울을 오픈하였으며, 2011년에는 천안 아라리오 갤러리 옆 부지에 아라리오 미술관을 건립하겠다는 목표를 바탕으로 준비 작업에 한창 열을 올리고 있다. 그는 이를 통해 지난 2005년 계약을 맺은 한국 전속작가들을 세계무대에 진출시키고 중국 전속작가들의 작품을 역으로 소개하여 아라리오가 아시아 미술의 허브가 되도록 하겠다는 꿈을 실현시키고자 노력 중이다.

15년의 노력 안녕하세요
 
국군기무사 부지에 미술관을 결정한 것이 올초 문화예술인 신년하례회에서 였는데
여름이 되어 장마철이 된 그러니 반년은 지났다는 이야기인데 아직도 감감 무소식입니다.
 
이제 그 사업의 주체가 국립현대미술관인지 아니면 문화관광부인지도 모를 지경입니다.
여기에 한 술 더 떠 국군서울 지구병원은 이전대체부지가 없어 이전 할 수 없다고 버티는 상황이고
이러다가는 부지기 하 세월 시간만 가고 지난 15년의 노력이 물거품이 될 것 같다는
절박함으로 다시 서명운동을 시작했습니다.
